Abstract

This research, conducted at SMP Plus Darunna'im, identified two main challenges in forming students' Islamic personality in the era of Industry 5.0: the inconsistency of students' Islamic behavior outside school and the minimal use of technology in character learning. This subsequent study aims to design and test a model of digital media integration in Islamic Religious Education to strengthen students' Islamic personality at home and in the community. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with action research elements, this study involved 30 ninth-grade students and 3 Islamic Education teachers at the same school over a 12-week period. The intervention took the form of an integrated character education program using WhatsApp groups, Google Forms, and YouTube-based Islamic content. The results showed a significant improvement in students' consistency in performing Dhuha prayer (from 45% to 78%), reading the Qur'an before studying (from 52% to 83%), and giving charity (from 38% to 69%) outside of school. The main contribution of this research is the Three-Pillar Digital Integration Model (Monitoring, Reinforcement, and Collaboration), which is practical, low-cost, and can be implemented by other Islamic schools to bridge the character education gap between school and home in the era of Industry 5.0.
