Open Access Policy

Understanding the Sharing and Posting Policies for Articles in CILAS: Contemporary Islamic Learning and Society for each stage of the article life cycle.

Prior to Submission to CILAS: Contemporary Islamic Learning and Society
Authors may post their articles anywhere at any time, including on preprint servers such as arXiv.org. This is not considered prior official publication.

Upon Submission to CILAS: Contemporary Islamic Learning and Society
Authors may share or post the submitted version of their manuscript (also known as the preprint) in the following ways:

  1. On the author's personal website or their employer's website.

  2. On institutional or funder websites, if required.

  3. For the author's own classroom use.

  4. On Scholarly Collaboration Networks (SCNs) that are signatories to the International Association of Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers' Sharing Principles (https://www.stm-assoc.org/stm-consultations/scn-consultation-2015/).

The following text must appear on the first page of the article when posted in any of the above locations:
"CILAS: Contemporary Islamic Learning and Society (https://journal.nimsyapublisher.id/index.php/cilas/index) for possible publication."

Upon Acceptance by CILAS: Contemporary Islamic Learning and Society
If the author previously posted the submitted version of the manuscript in any of the following locations, they must replace that initial version with the accepted version of the manuscript. No other changes may be made to the accepted manuscript.

  1. The author's personal website.

  2. The author's employer's website.

  3. arXiv.org.

  4. The funder's repository.

After the Article Is Published (Final Version)

Once the article has been officially published, the previously posted version must be updated by including the full citation to the original version of the Bulletin of Science Education, including its DOI. The author must replace the accepted version with the final published version of the article from CILAS: Contemporary Islamic Learning and Society.

All published articles will be accompanied by a statement regarding copyright notice.
