Efektivitas Penggunaan Multimedia dalam Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di MTs Darul Huda 2 Mataram Baru

This study examines the effectiveness of using multimedia in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at MTs Darul Huda 2 Mataram Baru, East Lampung. The background of this research departs from the need for technology-based learning transformation aligned with the Independent Learning philosophy. The purpose of the study is to describe the forms of multimedia use, analyze their effectiveness on students' motivation and learning outcomes, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects of the study were 6 subject teachers, 60 students in grades VII-IX, and the head of the madrasah. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results showed that: (1) the use of multimedia in the form of learning videos, interactive presentations, animations, and digital platforms increased students' learning motivation by 73.3%; (2) there was an average increase in learning outcomes of 18.6% after consistent multimedia application; (3) multimedia makes it easier for teachers to implement differentiated learning and formative assessments according to the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum; and (4) the main inhibiting factors are limited digital infrastructure and the technological competence of some teachers. This study recommends increasing investment in madrasah ICT infrastructure and strengthening technology-based teacher training programs.
