Screening Plagiarism
All manuscripts submitted to Qur’an and Sunnah Research Journal (QSRJ) are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer review process. The screening process is conducted to ensure originality, academic integrity, and compliance with ethical publication standards.
QSRJ uses plagiarism detection software and editorial evaluation to examine textual similarity, citation accuracy, paraphrasing quality, and potential duplication of previously published materials. Manuscripts with excessive similarity, improper citation practices, or indications of academic misconduct may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected during the initial editorial assessment.
Authors are strongly encouraged to ensure that all submitted works are original and properly referenced before submission. Direct quotations, adapted materials, translated content, tables, figures, and ideas derived from other sources must be clearly cited according to academic writing standards.
As a general policy, manuscripts should demonstrate a reasonable level of originality and should not contain substantial overlap with published or unpublished works, including the authors’ own prior publications. Similarity reports are evaluated contextually by the editorial board, as similarity percentages alone do not automatically determine plagiarism.
The editorial team reserves the right to decline manuscripts that fail to meet the journal’s originality and ethical standards. Manuscripts identified with serious plagiarism or publication misconduct may be rejected immediately without proceeding to peer review.
