Qur’an and Sunnah Research Journal (QSRJ) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by CV. NIMSYA Publisher. The journal is published biannually in June and December as a professional scholarly publication dedicated to advancing research in Qur’anic, Sunnah, and broader Islamic studies.

QSRJ publishes high-quality academic research focusing on the study of the Qur’an and the Sunnah as the primary sources of Islamic knowledge. The journal emphasizes analytical, critical, contextual, and interdisciplinary approaches to the understanding of Qur’anic exegesis, Hadith studies, Islamic intellectual traditions, and contemporary Muslim realities in both classical and modern contexts.

The journal aims to strengthen scholarly discourse by encouraging methodological rigor, critical engagement, and contextual interpretation of Islamic sources while maintaining serious engagement with the classical heritage of Islamic scholarship. QSRJ serves as an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, scholars, students, and practitioners interested in the development of Qur’anic and Sunnah studies across various academic perspectives and research paradigms.

QSRJ accepts manuscripts in English, Arabic, and Indonesian. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Every submission undergoes a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, scholarly integrity, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

The journal welcomes various methodological approaches and does not limit submissions to a single research orientation. QSRJ accepts library research, field research, qualitative and quantitative studies, mixed methods, historical studies, phenomenology, ethnography, hermeneutics, discourse analysis, sociological and anthropological approaches, linguistic analysis, digital humanities, manuscript studies, and other critical approaches relevant to Qur’anic and Sunnah studies.

In addition to original research articles, QSRJ also welcomes critical literature reviews, conceptual papers, systematic literature reviews (SLR), comparative studies, manuscript and turath studies, policy analysis, educational research, and limited manuscript analyses that demonstrate scholarly contribution, contextual relevance, and academic novelty.

QSRJ also provides a fast-track review service for specific academic and institutional needs. Manuscripts submitted through this scheme must comply fully with the journal’s editorial policies and Author Guidelines. The use of fast-track review does not guarantee acceptance, as all manuscripts remain subject to editorial assessment and independent peer-review evaluation based on academic merit and publication standards
