Focus

Qur’an and Sunnah Research Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality research on the study of the Qur’an and the Sunnah as primary sources of Islamic knowledge. The journal focuses on analytical, contextual, and interdisciplinary approaches to understanding Qur’anic exegesis and Hadith studies in both classical and contemporary contexts.

The journal aims to advance scholarly discourse by promoting critical, methodological, and contextual studies that address contemporary issues while maintaining rigorous engagement with classical Islamic scholarship.

Scope

The journal welcomes original research articles, critical studies, and systematic reviews in the following focused areas:

  1. Qur’anic Studies (Ulūm al-Qur’an and Tafsir)
    Classical and contemporary tafsir, thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu‘i), linguistic analysis, and Qur’anic hermeneutics.
  2. Hadith and Sunnah Studies (Ulūm al-Hadith)
    Hadith criticism, authentication (takhrij), methodology, and interpretation of Sunnah in classical and modern scholarship.
  3. Methodology in Qur’an and Sunnah Research
    Hermeneutical approaches, interdisciplinary methods, and contemporary frameworks in scriptural studies.
